Koreans are getting married at a later age compared to the past. With this trend, infertility is becoming more widespread in the nation. Korea currently has one of the world's lowest birthrates-roughly 1.18 children for every woman at a child-bearing age. The last thing we need is another factor contributing to the nation's already low birthrate. As a means to boosting the birthrate, the government is trying various things to help couples having trouble having babies. Getting treatments like atrificial insemination or in-vitro fertilization (IVF) can be very costly. Therefore, financial support for fertility clinic treatments can be an effective way to see more newly-born infants.

 

최근 한국의 평균 결혼 연령이 꾸준히 상승하는 추세입니다. 이로 인해 불임이 보다 만연하고 있습니다. 한국의 현재 출산율은 가임 연령의 여성 1명당 대략 1.18명에 불과해 전세계에서 가장 낮은 수준입니다. 더 이상 출산율을 떨어뜨리는 요인을 막아야 하는 실정입니다. 정부는 최근 출산율을 높이기 위한 수단으로 불임 부부들에게 다양한 지원을 모색하고 있습니다. 인공 수정이나 시험관 시술 등을 받는 데는 큰 비용이 듭니다. 따라서 불임 치료에 대한 정부의 금전적 지원은 출산율을 끌어올리는 데 효과적인 방법이 될 수 있습니다.
