한우

Korean is one of the top beef-consuming countries in the world. Generally speaking, the beef of choice for many Koreans is the native Korean cattle, hanwoo. Hanwoo is not foreign cattle, which was simply raised in Korea. They are a native breed. Of course, Korea also imports beef from other countries such as the US, Australia, and New Zealand. Price-wise, hanwoo is more expensive than imported beef. But Koreans love it as it suits their taste the best. Hanwoo is known for being lower in cholesterol and having a high omega-3 fatty acid count. Famers who raise hanwoo in Korea are trying their best to promote the Korean beef. 

 

한국은 세계에서 쇠고기를 가장 많이 소비하는 국가 중 하나입니다. 보통 한국 사람들이 가장 좋아하는 쇠고기는 한국 고유의 한우입니다. 한우는 한국에서 사육되는 외국 품종의 소와는 구분됩니다. 한우는 토종 품종입니다. 물론 한국도 미국, 호주, 뉴질랜드 등지에서 쇠고기를 수입하기도 합니다. 가격 면에서 보면 한우는 수입산 쇠고기보다 가격이 높습니다. 그러나 한국 사람들의 입맛에는 가장 맞기 때문에 인기가 높습니다. 한우는 콜레스테롤 함유량이 상대적으로 낮고 오메가-3 지방산 수치가 높은 것으로 알려져 있습니다. 한국의 한우 농가들은 한우 소비를 촉직하기 위해 최선을 다하고 있습니다.  

야식

 

Korea can be a heaven for late-night snackers, especially if you live in a big city with a busy night life. Whenever you feel like eating, there are tons of 24-hour places that you can go to. Many places deliver food to your door as well. Many of these delievery services are open around the clock, so it doesn't matter when your hunger kicks in. The menu for late-night snacks is endless! You can take your pick from Korean style stews, pig trotters or Chinese dishes, just to name a few. Ironically, even fast food chains deliver their burgers to their customers 24/7 in some areas. once again, there is always a place to go when your munchies hit three in the morning! 

 

한국은 특히 밤 유흥 문화가 발달한 대도시를 중심으로 야식을 즐기는 사람들의 천국이라고 할 수 있습니다. 배가 고프면 언제든 찾아갈 수 있는 24시간 음식점들이 즐비합니다. 집까지 음식을 배달해주는 곳도 많습니다. 배달 음식점 중 제법 많은 곳들이 24시간 영업을 하기 때문에 언제 배가 고프든 간에 문제가 되지 않습니다. 게다가 야식 메뉴도 엄청나게 다양합니다. 몇 가지만 예를 들자면, 한국식 탕 요리, 족발, 중국 음식 등등 끝이 없습니다. 흥미로운 사실은 서울 일부 지역에서는 심지어 페스트푸드점에서도 햄버거를 24시간 배달해준다는 것입니다. 다시 말하면 새벽 3시에 갑자기 먹을 것이 당긴다고 해도 걱정할 필요가 없습니다.
