The president appoints his/her cabinet, which includes the prime minister and the ministers. On the other hand, the general election takes place every four years. There are a total of 300 members of parliament. The last parliamentary election was held on April 11, 2012. The national assembly is the legislative body of the central government. Most lawmakers are elected directly, while some are elected through proportional representation. Last of all, the local elections are held every four years.
